Do the wildest drive
Our roads take you through scenic, unspoiled wilderness, yet there’s access to campgrounds, picnic sites, service stations and visitor information on our major highways.
Three southern highways link to our northern routes. Drive up the Alaska Highway through Yukon to reach the Dempster Highway to NWT’s Mackenzie Delta and the town of Inuvik. Follow Alberta Highway 35 north to connect with NWT Highway 1 south of Hay River. Or in British Columbia take Highway 77 which connects to NWT Highway 7 which runs parallel to the mountains and ends in Fort Simpson.
