Don't expect to see any other boats except for those in your party. Just nature as it was meant to be. Beautiful Nonacho Lake & its sand esker beaches are situated just south of the east arm of Great Slave Lake. Enjoy some of the best Lake Trout and Northern Pike fishing that NWT has to offer, or go on a Muskox Tour and by mid August view the amazing Aurora Borealis the way they were meant to be seen, without any light saturation from nearby towns or cities. $2650.00 USD per person per week, includes air transportation from Yellowknife, boats and motors, (16' Lund with 25 hp Honda) fuel, showers, freezers, ice. Guests supply groceries and fishing tackle. Cabins furnished with fridge, stove, cooking utensils, bedding, 24hr electricity etc... The cabins can accommodate up to six guests. There is some groceries and fishing tackle available in the small store at the camp. Catch and release encouraged for fish over 10 lbs. We welcome you to fish as long as you like during your stay. Family rates are also available. Lake Trout between 20 and 40 pounds are common with a lake record (near world record size) of 60 pounds. The lake abounds with Lake Trout in the 4 - 10 lb. range. Pike are abundant and provide wild action out of the shallows.
For photo lovers, the rarely seen Majestic Muskox have now migrated and have found their home at Nonacho Lake. Bald eagles, osprey, loons nest here, along with arctic wolves and tundra swans. They are in an natural landscape seen by few humans.
